- Yesterday was a really fun day :) Went to the Taronga Zoo with Alexandra were we played tourists with camera all day long. Had great fun trying to find out which of our friends resembled each of the animals we saw. :) If you find any good matches, write a comment;)
- We saw lizard keeper talk, elephant playtime and the seal show. Cant choose which was more fun. The baby elephant running after a football between the big elephants trying to be serious doing their tricks, or the cute seals showing off for the audience :)
- Suddenly we found ourselves not being able to leave the gorilla display. They were so incredibly fascinating to watch! Its probably cause the resemblance to ourself is so big. Hehe.. It was just like watching a normal human family hanging out. They were all hanging inside in the shadows. Big papa sitting in the corner, eyes closed but keeping sure that nobody was doing any tricks. Baby gorillas running all over the place playing. One trying to seek the attention of a grownup sleeping, one hanging around the neck of his mum, and one just swirling round and round and round. This was clearly the gay one... The rest of the grown ups were just trying to find a comfortable sitting or lying position in the heat.
- When we finally did manage to leave our relatives, we had a look at the koala bears. I want one of them! Too cute! They were all hanging in the trees, sleeping, shifting their position every now and then. Had to buy a mini stuffed koalabear and a koalanecklace in the zooshop before leaving. When is the next time I go to Australia anyways? ;)
- Since my shoulders had started turning slightly red, and the zoo was about to close, we took the ferry back to Sydney, bought a Starbucks frappucino and headed back to Manly. Just in time for the sun to disappear and a thunderstorm to come! Rained like crazy last night, but back to crazy warm today!

Australia Day:)
- So, Jan 26th, australians celebrate the first fleet of europeans coming to Sydney. They do so by taking the day off, dressing up in the australian flag, and drinking all day long. Nice tradition!
- I had an extremely hot australia day. The temperature was probably well over 30degrees and I spent most of it walking around in the city. The Rocks is the area around Sydney and it had lots of free concerts and markets this day. I had fun walking around looking at all the street performers. Including an extremely gay one called Jamie on a 4 meter long one-wheeled bike! Great fun.. People watching is a great activity!
- After spending some hours at the Rocks I took the ferry back to Manly with Linn. Then went for a run on the beach. Even though it was 9 in the evening and pitch dark, we were sweating like pigs. Too hot for a norwegian girl who just survived a week of -30!
- After a shower and some dressing up we decided to go out :) Hehe, didnt last very long. Had one drink and then gave up because of the heat. Lets try it again later this week!
- other than that, not much exciting happening. Just enjoying time off ! :)

path of terror!
Sydney!
Yep, finally arrived in Manly, Sydney. Was a long trip. Started friday morning in voss (friday night aussietime) and landed in Sydney airport sunday night aussie time. Had a six hour train ride, three flights which together took 22,5 hours, subway and then ferry out to Manly. Inbetween there i also had some waiting time. Had a totalt of four flightmeals + various snacks. The mars icecreambar was especially good. Slept through Australia and Harry Potter, but managed to stay awake trough Julia and Julie and some random Tv-shows.
- It`s soo strange not to be cold at all. Im walking around in singlet, shorts and flip flops and actually sweating. Hope you got your snow in Voss now! :)
- Today ive had a little look around Manly and a superb breakfast burrito at a cafe. Linn showed me around and we actually got hit by birdshit whilst waiting for a green light. Not fun at all! I dont understand how anyone can claim it means good luck.
- So, as you probably have understood by now; Im alive - I have not been raiped - Still got all of my stuff (though I was really worried they were gonna take my taxfree goods away from me before going on the plane to Sydney) - and I`m loving the sun!
- ps: got off the train at sydney harbour and just had to take the most touristy photo of them all - Sydney opera house.. Hahaha
